After a very successful event in Winster in October 2017, Thinking Outside The Box is back!
Thinking Outside The Box II will focus on dynamics, air and bellows control. We will explore playing loud and quiet and how this awakens our sound. In this edition you will discover the art of bellows control, air button use and the ability to play quietly (yes, it is possible!) You’ll take away new tools that craft feel, texture, rhythm and aural variety into your music.
VENUE: Whittonstall Residential & Camping Centre, Pasture House, Whittonstall, Co. Durham, DH8 9JS
COST: £40pp (full payment at time of booking to secure your place) Limited places available.
ABILITY LEVELS: Beginners, improvers, more experienced players welcome. This event is not suitable for absolute beginners.
LUNCH: £6 per head handmade pie & chips ordered in from local pub or you can BYO. (please state your choice at time of booking. Pay on the day). Choose from:
- Steak
- Chicken & mushroom
- Cheese & onion
ACCOMMODATION: Available from Friday night through to Monday morning. Low cost TBC on the weekend. Please state at time of booking what accommodation you would like and for how many nights. Options are:
- Camping incl. top quality toilet/shower facilities
- Space for motor home/caravan
- A bed in a dormitory room. Separate male/female rooms. Shared bathroom. Bedding provided.

On Saturday 19th the North East Melodeon Playgroup II event will be hosted at the same venue, catering for absolute beginners, beginners and improvers with yours truly leading the improvers group.
